When I upload a Light Mode SVG and begin dialing in the Dark Mode version, the tool generally works well, as long as the SVG isn't overly complex.

When I upload a Dark Mode SVG, I have to select Uploaded Dark Mode before I can begin dialing in the Light Mode version. That extra step seems to make each subsequent adjustment feel laggy.

More specifically, the time between clicking or entering a hex value and seeing the resulting change is noticeably longer when starting with Dark Mode than it is when starting with Light Mode.

Expected: The dialing-in workflow should perform consistently regardless of which mode is uploaded first. Thank you!
